The main reasons are taking part in the activities that are necessary to put
on a production (see our
activity description page for details). Several new members have already
made their debuts on our stage this year. Or you may prefer simply to support
the Society by attending our productions.
For a modest fee you can
- Receive our regular newsletter that contains information on plays,
social events and theatre news
- Enjoy discounts on ticket prices
- Attend social events such as our popular Wine and Wisdom evenings,
West-End theatre trips and our Christmas Party.
- Be able to hire the Oasthouse for private functions (including use
of the Bar)
Membership Categories
| Full Member |
Full membership is required in order to
audition for plays and join in the fun backstage. You can audition
as soon as your membership is accepted. |
| Audience Member |
This category entitles you to all the
privileges available to Full Members with the exception of being able
to audition and work backstage. You can still help with Front of House
or Bar duties if you wish. |
| Student Member |
This membership category (equivalent to
full membership) is available to those in full-time education. |

Membership runs from April 1st to March 31st and can be paid by cheque or
direct debit. For further details of direct debit arrangements, please contact
the Membership Secretary at the address shown below.
If you are interested in becoming a member, please print a
Membership Application form. Application forms are also available in the
Theatre foyer. Return your completed form to the address shown below,
enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope and a cheque (unless you have
arranged to pay by direct debit) for the correct amount. Cheques should be
made payable to 'RaTS Ltd'.
PLEASE NOTE:
All membership applications need to be proposed and seconded by existing members.
In addition, all applications are displayed in the bar area for a period
preceding the next Committee meeting where, provided there have been no
objections, membership will become valid and you will be informed of this.
